![]() ![]() ![]() There’s no shortage of comfortable accommodation in and around this beautiful city. The busy cruise liner port is located just a little to the north of the Old Town. The unique city walls were begun in 1620 and still enclose much of the picturesque Old Town which is so well-preserved that it’s now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The French-speaking city of Quebec was founded in 1608 beside the St. Lawrence River, for a breathtaking view of the city. Nearby you can take the ferry ride to the town of Levis, directly across the St. The Open Market in the Old Port or Vieux Port is a great place to find fresh fruit or local Canadian products such as maple syrup, cheese, and some fruit wines. Just down the street from the Quebec Cruise Terminal is the Musee de la Civilisation where you can learn about Canadian history. Most hotels however are conveniently located from the cruise terminal. The nearest hotels are located in Old Quebec, Lesser Town area. Ships anchor at the “ Terminal de croisières“, or locally known as Ross Gaudreault Cruise Terminal, in Vieux Port or Basse-Ville (Old Port or Lower Town), below the Château Frontenac in the Pointe-â-Carcy area of the port.
